AS 2419 commissioning flow tests

AS 2419.1 is the hydrant design and installation standard. Commissioning is not the same visit as an AS 1851 periodic test, even when the fittings look familiar.

New system, different question

Commissioning asks whether the installed system meets the design. Periodic maintenance asks whether it still performs. Mixing those sentences on one sheet is how a handover pack gets argued about a year later.

What to keep on the report

The design figures you were given, the figures you measured, and a clear statement of the visit type. Photos of the booster, the pumps and the test point save a second site visit.

Keep the heading honest

You can carry commissioning readings on the hydrant and booster report types. You choose the job. The PDF should not pretend a handover was a routine service.
