AS 1851 flow testing, in contractor language
AS 1851 is the maintenance standard most Australian fire contractors already work to. This is not a substitute for the document. It is a plain-English map of the flow-test work that ends up in a report.
What “periodic” actually means on the truck
The standard sets how often a system is tested and what a competent person records. Your client files that record. If the file is a photo of a clipboard, the next audit is a hunt. If it is a dated PDF with the figures, the photos and the names, the hunt is over.
The flow tests on the job
Hydrant feed, sprinkler (mains or pump), hydrant pump, combined pump rooms, brigade booster — including the five-yearly assembly test — and hose reels. Each of those is a different job. Each should have its own report, not one paragraph reused six times.
How Oz Fire Wizard fits
Oz Fire Wizard structures those jobs so the field capture matches the report the client keeps. You stay the certifier. We do not put our name on their PDF.
