Hydrant pump flow test reports

A hydrant pump test is not a landing-valve note with a pump serial scribbled in the margin. You need suction, discharge, flow and what the pump did when you opened it up.

Who it is for

Crews testing diesel or electric hydrant pumps on commercial and industrial sites, including combined rooms where the hydrant pump is the job in front of you.

What happens on the day

Record the pump identity, start conditions, flowing figures and any alarms or cut-outs. Photos of the compound and the gauges sit on the job. Sign on the phone.

Standards

AS 1851 pump periodic tests. Where you are proving a new pump against the design, keep the commissioning numbers with the same report rather than a second spreadsheet.

Yes. The camera is in the job. A photo of the nameplate and the gauge cluster is usually worth more than a paragraph later.
