Pump total head
A first-pass total head from the two gauges in front of you. Add velocity and elevation if the job needs them.
What this determines. This works out the total head the pump is producing from the suction and discharge gauges in front of you, in metres of water.
Your readings
How is head calculated?
H (m) = (Pdischarge − Psuction) in kPa ÷ 9.81. A suction below atmosphere should be entered as a negative kPa.
