Purpose-built reporting vs generic form apps
A form tool will take a number. It will not keep hydrant feed, booster and hose reel from collapsing into the same blob.
Generic form apps are fine for a one-off checklist. Flow testing is not a one-off checklist. Each report type has its own readings, its own photos, and a heading a building manager can file without guessing which visit it was.
What a form app will do
Collect a field. Email you a row. Maybe stamp a logo if you fought the layout. It will not give you a review queue, a client-ready A4 under your brand, or a history of the site that next year’s tech can open.
What a report system has to do
Capture on the phone. Review in the office. A client-ready A4 PDF under your brand. No software name on the page they keep. You stay the certifier.
